This Week

The August Tae Kwon Do test will be this Friday, August 21st at 6:30 pm. Students who have earned their testing stripes should wear their full uniform (white top with patch, appropriate color t-shirt, pants, and belt) and arrive 10 – 15 minutes early to check in and warm up. Students who are testing for Green Belt and higher should also bring their sparring gear.

There will be an Open Mat session this Saturday at 10:00 am. Come practice your favorite things! Our other Saturday classes will run as usual.

Upcoming Activities

The school picnic will be on Sunday, August 23rd at Grass Lawn Park from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. This will be a time to get together and have some fun. You can bring your own lunch or bring something to share. There is a potluck sign up at the desk. We hope to see you there!

August 24th – August 29th will be a Bring-a-Friend week. Your friends can join you for a free class – let them know!

News Notes

TMA Redmond will host the annual Arnis Tournament on Saturday, October 17th. Look for more details soon!

There will be normal make-up classes this weekend.

Upcoming Activities

The next Tae Kwon Do test will be on Friday, August 21st.

Summer reminder: make sure to stay hydrated! Try to drink enough before class that you don’t have to stop for drinks, but it’s a good idea to bring a water bottle, just in case.

This Week

There will be a ½-day Spring Break Camp this week, April 13th – 17th. The camp is open to all TMA students and their friends. Drop in for a day or come all week! You can register at the front desk or on our website. (Note: We will still have regular afternoon/evening classes all week.)

We will have all regular weekend classes this week.

Upcoming Activities

Black Belt awards from our recent Black Belt test will be next Tuesday, April 21st in the 7:00 pm Advanced Adult class.

Our next Tae Kwon Do test will be Friday, April 24th at 6:30 pm.

News Notes

Rule Review #11: No fooling about or unnecessary talking in class. Do not talk out in class unless you are called on. Bow before asking a question. Try to keep your questions and talk relevant to class.

This Week

There will be a private Black Belt test on Friday, March 27th at 6:30 pm. Our next all-rank Tae Kwon Do test will be on Saturday, March 28th at 6:30 pm. Testing students should wear their full uniform (white top with school patch, appropriate color t-shirt, pants, and belt) and arrive 10 - 15 minutes before the test begins to check in and warm up. Students who are testing for Green Belt and higher should also bring their sparring gear.

There will be an Open Mat session this Saturday at 10:00 am. Come work on the skills of your choice! Our other make-up classes will run as usual.

Upcoming Activities

The SBN Thomas Zoppi Championship Tournament is coming up on April 4th! This is a fun event for students of all levels and we would love for every student to join us there. The discounted registration period ends this Friday, March 27th. Registrations are available online through the TMA Sammamish website. Sign up today!

There will be a ½-day Spring Break Camp April 13th – 17th.

News Notes

Are you interested in becoming an Assistant Instructor here at TMA? Students who are 13 or older and Advanced Green Belts or higher are eligible. Let an instructor know after class if you would like more information!

Because our usual seminar date conflicts with the Champs, we will not have an Arnis Seminar in April. We will work extra in classes with students who need their Arnis rank to advance.

News Notes

Rule review #7: You are responsible for everything you bring into the school. Do not leave personal items in the school. Forgotten items will be placed in the Lost and Found and you must pay $0.25 to retrieve them. Push-ups will also be required for a forgotten belt.

News Notes:

We will be open for regular classes next Monday (Presidents’ Day).

Rule Review #2: No food or drink (other than water) allowed in the changing rooms or Do Jang (training hall area). Food and other drinks are allowed in the lobby area only.

Our February Arnis Seminar will be this Saturday, February 7th. Come join us and sharpen your Arnis skills! Registrations are available at the front desk and on our website.

We will have the regular Friday night make up class at 5:00, but no Saturday make up classes, due to the Arnis seminar. Peewee kickers will be at 9:00 am and there will be no kickboxing class this week.
