Redmond Grappling Academy During my last tour in the Army, I started a BJJ mat club that met 3 times per week. During my military career, I quickly fell in love with Jiu-jitsu.

During this time, I fell in love with instructing students and passing on my passion for grappling. After my military service, I decided I did not want to go into the work force. Instead, I wanted to focus my energy on something I was passionate about... Grappling. I started wrestling in high school at South Medford High under Ken Thompson and Sergio Gonzalez (1972 Olympian). After high school, I

spent 3 years wrestling at Southern Oregon University under Mike Ritchey. I started training as often as I could, when the time allowed.

What an awesome night for the kids class at RDGA! Not only did we have cookies and soda, but we also had a fun night of challenge matches and promotions.
These kids never fail to impress me. Huge congratulations to Jaxton on his Grey Belt. He definitely earned it!
Congratulations to all the other kids who keep showing up, putting in work, and hitting new levels. Another big congratulations to Coach on his blue belt. Well earned. Merry Christmas everyone!
