The first American athletes have qualified through to finals after Day 2 of the 2024 Acro World Age Group Competitions in Guimaraes on Friday.

Sophia and Dominique, Congratulations on a fantastic season in acrobatic gymnastics! Despite training together for only eight months and dealing with an injury during the season, you both showed incredible resilience and talent. Your hard work has earned you a spot on the USAG national team and the honor of representing the USA at the World Age Group Competition.

Unfortunately, Dominique's injury did not heal as expected, and she has decided to retire from the sport. We wish Dominique all the best as she begins a new journey, and we are confident that her determination and spirit will lead to future success.

Sophia, we are excited to see your continued growth and achievements in acrobatic gymnastics. Your dedication and skill are truly inspiring, and we look forward to celebrating many more victories with you.
