Henry got his brother to help him set the toe on the car after replacing a lot of the front steering linkage and ball joints. If you’ve ever set toe on a race car it can be tricky especially if you don’t keep track of which way you need to turn the adjuster! They’ve gone through more rounds of adjustment and checking than I can count! Luckily they still seem positive and tools haven’t flown across the shop yet! 🤣

RACE RECAP: 8/22 Apologies for the late post. Henry started on the front row in the second position. He did a great job keeping pace with the leader and not jumping the start. There were a few mishaps from others, and it took a few tries to get the race underway. He did a great job but the more experienced drivers saw that Henry left the middle open and were able to drive up the middle. The track was extremely slick and Henry wasn’t prepared for that and struggled to find grip. By one third through the race, he dropped back to 5th and got very loose coming through turns 1 & 2. He tried to correct it, but he made contact with other competitors and bent the steering linkage, rim and ball joints. That brought his run to an end and he made it back to the pits. He’s learning and excited for the next race on Sept 5th. There will not be a race this coming Saturday due to a drag racing event at the track. Thank you so much to all of those who support us either as fans, friends, sponsors and contributors! Your help and support means the world to us and is very motivating to Henry! See you at the Valley of Speed on September 5th!

When Henry was 5 years old he came to me in the shop the night before the race and gave me this advice. I decided to play it again for him to study and get focused for his race tomorrow at the Valley of Speed! We are finishing up the car now and getting loaded up! If you’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to come to the track for a night of fun now is the time! We hope to see you there!

RACE RECAP: The car DIDN’T overheat! Finally made it past that gremlin! Thank you Anthony Corey for the AMSoil dominator coolant boost! Also thank you to those who contributed parts and money for the other parts we needed to get the right combination! As for the race, Henry started in the rear of 17 cars, made a charge to the front and made it up to 6th at the half way mark! A left rear flat ended that run and he headed into the pits. Thank you to other teams who helped us complete a fast pit stop and tire change and we got him back out under caution on the lead lap! Thank you to the Lebanon Valley Track Crew for telling him on the radio he had a flat and for helping him get back onto pit road and on the track quickly! He made a run from the tail again and made it up to 9th where he finished!
We also had a great time at the Halloween driver meet and greet and were so happy to see so many fans, supporters, sponsors and friends! Time to get back to work and we will see you this coming Saturday at the track!

Henry has been back at it and we made even more changes to be ready for Saturday’s race at Lebanon Valley Speedway! Anthony Corey reached out and wanted to help! He is the local AMSoil dealer and has many products to help us racers! He sent us a case of Dominator Coolant Boost to add some science to our engineering and it claims up to a 25 degree drop in coolant temps! We added two bottles as he recommended to all water for our coolant. Let’s see how it goes this week! I think this will do the trick! Be sure to contact Anthony because not only does he have the products that work, he also knows a lot about race cars and other tricks that work! I tagged him above on this post!

Back at it again! Race car work never ends!

Here are some laps that Henry was turning this past Saturday caught by the Smith Racing team! He went from dead last and made it up to 7th as you can see. It was a good run for him and we look to improve on that next weekend! This coming Saturday is the Monster Truck event and there wont be any Saturday night racing. Stay tuned!
