🏆 College World Series Connections! 🏆
Three coaches in the 2025 NCAA Baseball College World Series got their start at Shasta College!

👏 Jay Johnson, Head Coach of the LSU Tigers, led his team to another NCAA National Championship—his second with LSU Baseball and the fastest ever to win two titles at one school! Jay was a Shasta College student-athlete in 1997–1998.
👏 Marc Wanaka, LSU Assistant Coach, helped guide the Tigers to victory and played for and coached at Shasta College from 1998–2007.
👏 Ryan Gipson, Oregon State Baseball Assistant Coach, was a Shasta Knight in 2003–2004 before winning a national championship as a player at OSU in 2006.

Huge congratulations to the LSU Tigers on their national title, and to all the SC Knights making an impact on college baseball’s biggest stage! ⚾💚
