Hillbilly Science at its best-

All jigs are hand poured, hand painted and hand tied here in Pulaski County. We talk to biologists and conservationists all over the state to find the crawfish species bass feed on most. We then match those craw colors as they change with the temp through the year for the most natural looking presentation possible. We talk to anglers on Lake of the Ozark, Bull Shoal

s, Truman, Pomme, Dardanelle, Big Piney and the Gasconade to find what jigs are working on the water. All jigs include quality Gamakatsu hooks, hard baked on powder paint and hand tied 45-60 strand silicone skirts.

We are slowly transitioning from Big Piney Custom Lures to Big Piney Outdoors.
Our goal is to include more hunting and outdoor equipment along with out fishing lures.

This month we are going to be producing jigs again and hopefully have jig packs made in time for Christmas.

Eventually we will be making jigs, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, knives and traditional bows.

Here are a couple baits that have been hot for me this year.

7/16oz finesse flipping jig in green pumpkin.
I like to thread a chunk all the way up to make a very compact bait. The head design and weight allows you to get this smaller bait through grass and pick up a few fish that would turn down a full size flipping jig.
$3.00 each

1/2oz bladed jig in classic black and blue.
We like to put darker blades on our back or darker green baits. They look more natural than silver or gold blades when the bass are looking for big bluegill.
$4.50 each

Another round of pond hopping. We are still figuring out a big bite but it looks like we are on the right track.

Again, our finesse flipping jig puts fish in the boat. I have been fishing them with chunks around structure and with a small swimbaits through grass.

Our Finesse Flipping jigs are one of the most versatile jigs you can throw. They are great around grass and structure but can be used very effectively as a swim jig.
