Sundance Trail Ranch is Colorado's smallest guest ranch — 24 guests on 138 acres bordering Roosevelt National Forest, 45 minutes from Fort Collins. Horses, mountains, campfires, real food, and the space to put the phone down and reconnect — to the people you love, to nature, and to what matters. And there's more to a week than riding — rock climbing on our own peak, whitewater rafting, archery, the shooting range, axe throwing, disc golf, golf and hiking by day; cowboy singing, line dancing, cowboy poetry and forest picnics by night. Book out the whole place for a corporate retreat, a milestone family reunion, or a full-ranch buyout — groups of 8 to 24, every detail handled. Booking now for 2026 and 2027.

Smokey and the Bandit, ranch edition. 🐴🐴

Happy FriYay, humans!

So we have some news! Two new ponies moved in this summer and honestly we can’t stop staring at them. That’s Bandit on the left, the bay and white one.

Smoky’s on the right, and he’s 36 inches tall, which is about hip height on a grown-up. They’re both tiny, Bandit’s just a touch bigger.

We did not need ponies. We bought them anyway. Nobody here regrets it.

Here’s the thing though, they’ve been hanging out with grown-ups and big horses for weeks now and we think they’re ready for some smaller friends. 🥰 So if you’ve got kids (or grandkids, or you’re just a big kid yourself, no judgment), come up in November and meet them. It’s quiet up here that time of year and it’s really, really pretty.

Oh, and we’ve had a few rooms open up for the last week of October too, if you want to sneak in a little mountain time before Halloween.
