Hello Epic Humans 👋
Quick heads up: our Disc Golf course is CLOSED Monday to Friday up until September 9th due to our Dude Ranch Season.
During Dude Ranch season we have a bunch of mini humans learning to ride horses which we need to keep safe and we are also shooting guns and arrows and have had Disc Golfers getting to close for comfort.
During this time you are welcome to plan on weekends UNLESS there is a sign saying we are closed - if it says CLOSED it is for a safety reason.
A few important things we ask while you're here:
1. This is a 100% no-smoking property — no exceptions.
2. There is a complete and total fire ban across the county right now. No sparks, no flames, no fire of any kind.
3. Please don't drive through the red gate into the property.
4. Check the signage at hole one (near the road) for any important updates.
5. If you hear gunshots, do not enter the main property and do not play past hole 5 — we've got a shooting range running for our guests.
6. Do not throw discs near horses or anyone on horseback. Give them plenty of room.
7. Bringing a dog? It must be ON A LEASH at all times. We've got horses out grazing and guests on rides.

Our farrier, Delaney, is recovering from her C-section and will be off this summer, and she may be moving back east with husband and kids this fall. We are looking for a farrier to come every Thursday, shoe 6 or 7 horses until November. We have very poor cell, but good internet. 970-224-1222 [email protected]

Meet Snort! (I did not name him!!!)
Years ago, we fostered a dog who was terrified of me. My very wise cousin advised me to ignore him completely - not even eye contact. Like magic, the pup was in my lap within hours. Welcome Snort - a 3yo gelding of unknown parentage, very wild bucking horse school failure. He is my "rehab" horse. I have started his domestication & training by sitting in a lawn chair, reading my kindle. Within hours he found the treats in my shirt pocket. Today he learned that brushes don't eat horses... maybe. So my physical therapy (to walking) and his training (to become a dude ranch horse) should progress together! We both have a long way to go, but we're on our way!
