We are wrapping up our Meet the Flare Staff series with our fabulous Teaching Assistant, Miss Lily! 💜

Lily has been dancing since she was 3 and has been dancing with Flare for 11 years! She was awarded an Apprenticeship 3 years ago to prepare her to reach her goal of becoming a dance teacher. Not only is Lily involved with dance but has been apart of 4H/FFA for 10 years; raising chickens, goats, rabbits, and pigs. She is on the Varsity Cheer Team at RBHS.

Lily’s favorite part of Flare is the family feel; she loves teaching the littles and bonding with them. Lily is excited to meet all the incoming students and seeing the familiar faces! 😍

Up next in our Meet the Flare Staff series: Mrs. Erica! 💜

Erica comes to us with a wealth of training and teaching experience – having danced in Red Bluff, Santa Barbara, New York, and Washington state. Her teaching style is influenced by multiple styles of dance (as well as Pilates and meditation), but at her core, she is a classically trained dancer.

Erica is all about raising the bar and making the next level possible, and helps her students do so through their own finding of confidence and joy within. She believes wholeheartedly in her dancers' abilities and enjoys seeing them be themselves, and light up at the possibilities in dance. "I'm really happy to join the Flare community and be a part of such an inclusive and supportive environment for dancers.”

Kristi Amacker grew up dancing in Redding Ca. She owned her own studio between 2002 and 2025. Over the years, Kristi has traveled all over the west coast attending competitions and bringing home choreography awards, showmanship awards and speciality judges awards. Kristi closed her studio and began teaching for Flare in 2025. Moving to Flare a year ago was an easy choice to make. She loves sharing her love of tap dancing with all of her students!

Cassidy is our Front Office & Enrollment Extraordinaire, helping new families get registered, answering questions, and making everyone feel right at home. She has been working in the office since Fall 2021 but has been part of the Flare family for many years. As both a dance mom and a staff member, she understands the excitement, challenges, and commitment that come with dance life—from both sides of the studio doors.

Dedicated to providing the best experience possible for every dancer, Cassidy is passionate about continuing her education and growing as an instructor. She is committed to ongoing training and is always looking for new ways to inspire and support her students, most recently earning her Acrobatic Arts Module One Certification.

Whether she's welcoming new families at the front desk or cheering dancers on in the classroom, Cassidy is passionate about helping every child find their confidence, discover their unique spark, and fall in love with dance. 🥰

Up next in our Meet the Flare Staff series: Miss Katie! 💜

Katie started performing at the age of 4, participating in gymnastics, ballet, choir, band, and any acting opportunity her parents could find. After moving to Redding from the Bay Area at age 8, her focus changed to be fully dedicated to dance classes and ballet. She trained pre-professionally in Ballet until injuries in both legs caused her to take a break at age 17. She performed on the SHS Dance Team and in Shasta College's production of Legally Blonde: The Musical.

She has been working in various roles on and off at Flare since the studio opened in 2014, with her main focuses being Marketing & Teaching. Miss Katie's favorite part of working at Flare is having the opportunity to share her love of dance with the next generation of dancers! Miss Katie loves crystals, Hello Kitty, and her lil crochet business, Katie's Plushie Paradise 🌈

Up next in our Meet the Flare Staff series: Mrs. Lisa! 💜

Lisa started teaching at Flare in 2014, specializing in classes for younger students and ballet. Throughout her years of being at Flare she has taught all ages (1.5+), ballet, tap, and lyrical. She graduated from CSU Chico with a double major in Liberal Studies, where she had the opportunity to work with a lot of elementary aged students, and Anthropology, and graduated from the University of Belfast with an MA in Cultural Heritage & Museum Studies.

She loves teaching at Flare because it is not only a positive and supportive environment but all the teachers work on creating both strong dancers and well-rounded people. Dance is about so much more than just learning the moves — and that’s what Lisa loves about the studio! She loves watching both the mental and physical growth of her students from the day they start classes until the end of the season, year, or many years down the road. 🥰
