—One of the most dangerous prayers you can pray over your home is this one: “God, remove everything in me that is keeping me from becoming the woman You called me to be inside these walls."
—This prayer invites God into the gap between who you have been and who He made you to be. And, that gap is where some of the most uncomfortable and most transformative things He will ever do in your life happen to take place.
** Every wife and mother should go through a season when we ask ourselves, “Am I becoming everything that God needs me to be?” When you ask Him, be ready for him to remove everything that doesn’t belong and everyone who may be holding you back.
Staying comfortable is so easy, y’all… but I’d rather be a little uncomfortable with change than to become complacent with settling for less than God’s will for me and my family.

I know that may sound strange. I know it does not sound dangerous. It sounds humble and spiritual and like exactly the kind of thing a woman who loves God should pray. But I want you to understand what happens when you mean it.
He answers it.
And the answer does not always feel like blessing at first. Sometimes it looks like Him putting His finger on the comfort zone that has been keeping you small in your own home. The version of yourself you have been performing for years because it is safer than the real one. The fear you have been managing instead of surrendering. The way you have been showing up in these rooms that feels like faithfulness but is actually just control dressed up in spiritual language.
The dangerous prayer invites God into the gap between who you have been and who He made you to be. And that gap is where some of the most uncomfortable and most transformative things He will ever do in your life happen to take place.
Here is what I have watched this prayer do inside a home. It has softened a woman who did not know she had gone hard. It has broken open a woman who had shut down so slowly she did not notice it happening. It has moved a woman from managing her house out of fear to covering it out of faith, and the whole atmosphere shifted when she did. Not because her circumstances changed. Because she did.
Your home does not just need you to pray over it. It needs the fullest version of you inside it. The woman God had in mind when He placed you under this roof. The one who is not performing or striving or holding everything together in her own strength. The one who has handed herself to God completely and is covering her house from that place.
That woman is already in you. She just needs a prayer brave enough to clear the way.
So pray it. Mean it. And hold on.
