Josh had the idea for Raising Rods at a family dinner. While talking with his brother and cousin, Raising Rods was used to describe raising their children. It pays homage to the family name, Elrod. Josh, then had the idea to make shirts with the phrase “Raising Rods”. This venture is what birthed what has come to be Raising Rods. He quickly realized he could associate that phrase with the idea of
