Now, a little run down and some rules/guidelines for those of you that are new here or don't recall how this works!
****For those who registered by the early registration deadline which was May 27th--Your Shirts and swag bags MUST be picked up no later than 12:30PM on June 27th by you or someone you trust to be responsible enough to pick it up for you by the 12:30pm time. IF these are NOT picked up by then, we reserve the right to give your items to late or day of registrants as we do not want to haul these around waiting for you to pick up...or possibly never picking up, then we are stuck with leftover shirts and bags. Shirts and Swag bags will be available by Wednesday, June 24th, so if you can't make it to the event but still want your shirt and bag, contact us to make arrangements. ***
***We did order some extra shirts and bags--SO, if you're a late registrant it is best to show up by 10:30am as it will be fcfs as far as getting one of these extras in a size that fits you!***
Ok, now for some fun details!
This is a 5k with a badass, day-drinking attitude with music, drinks, prizes and food all included! The 5k route meanders around the town of Ray, ND. We have social hour and registration at the Northside on Main St starting at 10:30am, the 5k starts at 12:30pm! We plan to have some games and activities so come early and enjoy some fun before starting the 5k. Along the route there are several mini-parties with free drinks offered (N.A. options and water will be available also--everyone 21+ is welcome to participate!)! You can run, but you may miss the fun HA!...you can walk or you can even crawl..but be at the finish line by 2:30 for the door prizes and silent auction as you MUST BE PRESENT to WIN!
There will be a delicious free meal waiting for you at the Club Ray finish line along with the band Big Skillet who will start playing at approximately 1:30, so again, don't dawdle too long!
* Costumes/themes are so fun and WELCOMED! Our overall theme this year is USA/Red White and Blue--but you can choose anything or just come as you are! Some people/groups go all out, a lot just wear comfy clothes!
* $TIP$ your servers at the Northside, Club Ray and Trax 22---even if, especially if, it is one of your free drinks!
* we do have a plan B for the finish line if the weather doesn’t cooperate! So make sure to show up rain or shine!
* No drinks on the streets, you get caught that's on you
* Several Port-a-Potties along the route, thank you, JTH Portables LLC !!
* No WHEELS--no side-by-sides, no bikes, no golf carts--participants must run, walk, or crawl! Legit wheelchair participants are Welcome!
* No registration wristband? Then you don't get to participate at the stops or partake in beverages provided by GBR along the route.
* No pets or kids allowed along the route or Beer Gardens
* Silent Auction will be open to the public as well as GBR participants!
* All proceeds will go to the future Ray Community Center!
