You have worked hard, gained experience, set goals and continued to inspire us throughout the season.

Whether this is your very first Championship or you're returning for another year, we hope you head into this weekend feeling proud of everything you and your dog have accomplished together.

Have fun. Be confident. Cheer for each other. Show great sportsmanship. And most importantly, enjoy the opportunity to step onto that dock with your best friend.

We are incredibly proud of the growth of our Junior Handler program and can't wait to watch all 31 of you compete this weekend!

2026 IDS Junior Handler Scholarship Fund

When IDS introduced our Junior Handler program in 2024, we hoped to create more opportunities for young handlers to get involved, compete, learn and feel like an important part of the dog sports community.

Just two years later, look at where we are. ❤️

This year, 31 Junior Handlers will compete at the 2026 International Dog Sports Championship! The growth of this program in such a short time has been incredible to watch, and we couldn't be more excited about what it means for the future of our sport.

And we're equally excited to announce that our 2026 Junior Handler Scholarship Fund has doubled since 2024 to $2,800!

At this year's Championship, 12 scholarships will be awarded, recognizing the Top 3 Junior Handler teams in each of our four divisions.

This program is about so much more than winning. It's about giving kids a place to belong, encouraging good sportsmanship, building confidence, developing the next generation of handlers, and making sure young people know that there is a place for them in dog sports.

To every facility, competitor, sponsor, family and supporter who has helped us grow this program since 2024, thank you. You're helping us invest in something pretty special.

We can't wait to watch all 31 of our Junior Handlers take the stage at the 2026 IDS Championship!
