Ready to kick off the school year?

Central and Stevens are teaming up for this year for the 2026 Activities Kick Off Meeting.

Join us on August 10th at 5:30 PM at Central HS in the Performing Arts Theater for important updates and helpful information for families for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. We will also be joined by speaker Mark Leinweaver, a MLB sports agent, on why character matters.

All Central and Stevens student-athletes, fine arts participants, and parents are encouraged to attend!

Fall sideline cheer tryouts are next month! Tryouts will be held July 21st -23rd at Central HS in the fieldhouse.

Tryouts are open to all incoming 9th - 12th grade Central students.

Students must have an updated sports physical turned into the activities office before July 21st or brought to the first day of tryouts in order to tryout.

We had an amazing turnout this week for our K-6 SUMMER HOOPS CAMP. A huge THANK YOU to all the parents and grandparents and anyone else that got these future Cobblers to the gym to compete and get better this week. Also thanks to the high school players for coaching!

Our Rapid City Central High School Student Council has been recognized by the National Association of Student Councils as a 2026 National Gold Council of Excellence (NCOE) winner! 🏆

This award highlights outstanding leadership, service, student voice, and community engagement, and Central is one of only three schools in South Dakota to earn this honor in 2026.
