It's been a tough few years, but DFP is finally able to start in person training again February 1st! It's been a long road, but the perseverance and patience that we have demonstrated throughout the pandemic shutdown has paid off. Not only have we survived a difficult time, but we have also had the opportunity to regroup, refocus, and come back stronger than ever. We are excited to welcome and train new members and to help them achieve their fitness goals. Here are three steps you can follow to try and lose weight in 30 days:

1️⃣ Create a calorie deficit: In order to lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you consume. Determine your daily calorie needs and then reduce your intake by 500-1000 calories per day to create a deficit. This can be done by tracking your food intake and making healthier food choices, such as choosing more fruits and vegetables and cutting back on sugary and high-fat foods.

2️⃣ Exercise regularly: Incorporating physical activity into your daily routine can help you lose weight and keep it off. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity, such as brisk walking or cycling, or 75 minutes of vigorous intensity activity, such as running or HIIT, per week.

3️⃣ Stay consistent: Losing weight and keeping it off requires consistent effort. It's important to stick to your healthy eating and exercise habits even when you don't see the results you want right away. Stay motivated by setting realistic goals, tracking your progress, and seeking support from friends and family.

Create outcomes, not goals.

We talk a lot about goals when we’re trying to improve our health and our habits.

We’re told over and over that we must have them:

To reach a certain weight.
To earn this much money.
To achieve THIS by a certain time.

On and on, right?

And if that’s worked for you, then fine.

But if you’re like a lot of people, you stumble over that word “goal” because it suggests the possibility of failure. It whispers you might not reach it. It makes you even more hesitant about trying!

Goals can be achieved…or not.

Try this instead. It’ll focus your mind and calm your anxiety.

Decide on the outcome you want, and then commit to bringing that outcome to life.

Outcomes, unlike goals, are certainties. They are inevitable. So, there is no possibility of coming up short.

When you have a clearly defined outcome and take the aligned action toward it, no other outcome becomes possible.

If you desire an outcome of having a healthy lifestyle -- of maintaining an appropriate weight and enjoying an exercise regimen -- there is simply no way you can fail.

That outcome is YOURS if you choose it! ❤️

The holidays can be tough if we allow them to be.

Stressful… Busy… Too much food…

Too many commitments – and not enough time to take care of yourself.

But wait…

You don’t need more time. You need a coach -- at least for now. The guidance, accountability and support a coach provides is invaluable all the time, but especially amid the crazy pace of the holidays.
