Can’t even begin to explain how proud I am of these three athletes. They wrestled their hearts out this weekend.
Reid started working with us about a year ago. When we first began, he couldn’t even do a single pull-up. The strength gains since then were on full display — he battled to a 2-2 finish, losing a tough decision in the blood round. The growth has been unreal.
Harleigh is one of the most athletic girls in the state, and watching her development over the last few months has been special. She sets the tone for the younger athletes in our room with her success. Without her willingness to lead the charge with transporting some of my younger athletes the raising tide wouldn’t be possible.
Gracie came to me with a shoulder injury and one goal: get back on the mat. We attacked the rehab process, and just when she was hitting her stride, another injury tried to slow her down. It didn’t. In just her second year of wrestling, she’s now a state placer and a regional champ.
Control what you can control. That’s what they did.
So proud. So grateful to play a small role in their journeys.
