Tours by trail to Aziscohos, Lincoln Pond, or South Mountain will have stunning views of the lakes and surrounding area. Claudia Comstock has made the Rangeley Lakes Region of Maine her home since 1971. She is well-known to the locals, summer and seasonal residents, and many long-time visitors to this area as an artist and photographer of nature and wildlife. An avid woodswoman, Claudia has lived in and explored the backwoods, rivers , ponds and lakes of the Rangeley Region on foot, by kayak, on snowshoes and skis, and by dogsled for many years. For the past 15 years she has pursued her passion as a dog-driver, touring, exploring, and often winter-camping with her dogs in this beautiful area which she fondly refers to as "my own backyard." A Registered Maine Guide certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR, Claudia has an undying love, respect and appreciation of wilderness in winter, of her dogs, and of travel by dogsled - and an infectious enthusiasm for sharing it with others.
