2 years ago I had the privilege of starting a food plot program for a co-worker but more importantly a friend. These deer had a wide variety to eat. They had corn, Whitetail clover, Wintergreens, and Kishel's Late mix. There were 15 other deer in the plots when this guy stepped out for the 2nd time and offered a shot. Congrats buddy on a great buck.

No he wasn't killed in a plot. He was with a group of does. I'm sure he had been in the Whitetail Institute plot checking for does or filling his belly before the rut. There was an encounter last year with this deer but wasn't able to get it done. Video's of him hitting the Kishel's mock scrape were awesome. Over 280 inches harvested out of the same stand in 2021. Awesome buck buddy!

This buck was killed 5 days ago. Wasn't harvested in a food plot or over a mock scrape. The issue was he didn't get that far. Both were in the immediate area and probably was heading to mock scrape since he came in grunting. Perfect placed shot and ran about 60 yds. Main frame 8pt with split brow tines. Gross 133 7/8. Congrats buddy.
