Rancho Viejo is a golf community and resort that stretches across 1,400 verdant acres in the tropical Lower Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. At 26.04 degrees latitude, the lower Rio Grande valley is at the southernmost point of the mainland United States; practically due west of Miami. Carved through citrus groves and built along resacas, the ancient waterways of the Rio Grande Delta, Rancho Viejo offers a golfing paradise, often with plenty of available tee times on our eighteen-hole championship golf course. Also located on the property are two excellent dining facilities and a conference center with plenty of meeting and party rooms. Cruising the resaca aboard the Delta Dawn, playing tennis in the evening on lighted courts, or an opportunity to practice your golf game on our driving range, chipping, and putting greens is also available. Rancho Viejo dates back to the Espiritu Land Grant by the King of Spain in 1771. Ever present is the influence of the Spanish and Mexican heritage. You see it in the red tile roofs, fountains, and tropical gardens that grace the public areas of the resort.
