Fifteen years. Somehow it feels like both a blink and a lifetime. There have been highs, lows, plot twists, beautiful messes, and more chapters than we ever could have planned for—but through it all, this studio has become something rare: a true community built on love.
What started as a place to practice yoga became a place to grow, heal, laugh, cry, reconnect, and keep showing up for one another. My three kids have grown up within these walls, raised alongside this community that has loved and supported our family in more ways than we can count. Somewhere along the way, our students became family too.
Yoga has always been more than movement here. It has been a source of transformation, healing, grounding, and hope—rooted in love for ourselves and for each other. And none of this exists without the incredible staff who pour their hearts into this space every single day. They are the heartbeat of this studio: people with servant hearts who quietly, consistently give back to the community they love.
What moves us most is the way this community continues to hold each other together. We have students who have been here for one class, one year, one decade, and all fifteen years. Right now, over 200 people are participating in our Yoga Challenge—cheering each other on, encouraging one another, celebrating every small victory.
That’s who we are. Kindness. Love. Connection. People arriving early just to talk, staying long after class because they don’t want to leave, finding friendships, support systems, holiday traditions, retreats, trainings, and pieces of themselves here. For so many, this studio has become part of the foundation of their lives—and what an honor that is.
The world is going to drag you by the hand saying, “This is important, this is important, you need to do this and this and this.”
And it is up to you to pull your hands back, place them on your heart, and say, “No… this is what is important.” And that is Sweatstar Yoga.
In sincere gratitude,
Robbin
