Sweet Khaleel! 💙 This was his 10th swim lesson, and the progress he’s made has been incredible.

Today, all he wanted to do was go under the water and pop right back up again. Seeing his excitement and confidence in the water makes this work so rewarding!

Khaleel is 6 years old and still developing his speech. During his first lesson, everything was new and overwhelming. He was scared, screamed, and held on tightly. Building trust took time because he couldn’t always communicate what he was feeling or what made him nervous. By moving at a slow, steady pace and meeting him where he was each lesson, we built an amazing foundation of trust—and now that trust is shining through in everything he does.

Now, when I ask him to try something new, he’s willing to give it a shot. Last lesson, I encouraged him to dive for the rings—and he did it! 👏🏼

Even through the more challenging lessons, we celebrated every small win: getting his face wet, floating on his back, practicing his kicks, and becoming more comfortable in the water. Every small skill has mattered!

I couldn’t be prouder of Khaleel and everything he’s accomplished in just 10 lessons. His excitement and growing confidence are amazing to watch, and I can’t wait to see his swimming continue to develop! 💙🏊

Ellie put in the work last summer and retained so many skills! 👏🏼

When she finished lessons last year at just 2 years old, she had mastered all of her water safety skills and could perform them independently. After an 8-month break, she’s back in the pool, and we’ve already checked off all of those safety skills again!

Now it’s time to move on to introductory swimming. 🏊‍♀️

Last summer, Ellie consistently attended swim lessons twice a week for 3 months, and it’s incredible to see how much of that learning has stuck with her. Consistency pays off!

2½ years old!

While this isn’t the exact 10-second back float we practice in lessons, it’s a great example of how those skills are used in a real-life situation. He swims, comes up for a breath, and when he can’t get a full breath, he independently rolls onto his back to recover before continuing to swim.

Would I allow him to swim unsupervised or without a life jacket? No. Active supervision is always essential. However, he has developed a valuable water safety skill that could make a critical difference in an emergency—especially at just 2 years old.

Class as a 4 year old 🏊‍♀️! I made her swim to me so I can snag a clip but reality is we are doing laps back and forth building strength and endurance!

This is such a reassurance when it comes to those fun pool days where multiple kids can be in at the same time or swimming in a community pool 💪🏼
