Don’t have a mule in your barn just yet? Bring your horse.

While our official arena competitions are reserved for the long ears, horses are more than welcome to haul in and join. Throw a saddle on, come ride the Wyoming trails with us on the mountain ride, sit in on the clinics, and soak in the whole Mule Days atmosphere.

Who knows, you might arrive on a horse and leave with a trailer full of long ears by Sunday afternoon.

Some folks are part of the event, but others are part of the foundation.

Jeff Tift has been to every single Jake Clark’s Mule Days. He watched it grow from an early idea into a 30 year legacy.

If you know him, you know he is one of the truly great mule men of our time. He has trained, sold, and worked countless mules that have gone on to become crowd favorites. This year was no different, with Jeff bringing three exceptional mules to the sale. He even sold Jake Clark his own personal favorite, Cadillac Jack.

Not every mule makes the cut here, and that's exactly how it should be.

A Jake Clark mule isn't just one that's been saddled a few times and hauled to town. It's one that's been used, tested, and trusted. The kind that's picked its way down a rocky pinch, stood quiet at the trailhead, and earned its keep long before it ever earned a hip number.
