Started in June 2001 by long-time Raleigh area Coach, Paul Silver, the Marlins made an immediate impact on swimming in the area. That first summer saw two MOR swimmers place in the top-8 at the SE Senior Sectional Championships. Each year has proven more successful than the last due to the dedicated professio
nal coaching staff, hard-working swimmers and enthusiastic parents. At MOR, success has been occurring at the highest levels. Over the past few years the MOR team has produced/achieved:
- One 2008 Beijing Olympian
- A semifinalist at 2008 US Olympic Trials; 7 qualifiers
- 6 qualifiers at 2012 US Olympic Trials
- 13 qualifiers at 2016 US Olympic Trials
- 3 US Junior World team members
- 7 US National Junior team members
- Over 200 USA Swimming Scholastic All-Americans
- Over 100 collegiate swimmers
- 1st Place 2015 & 2019 Futures Championships
- 1st Place 2008 & 2011 NCS Senior Championships
- 1st Place 2008 & 2009 Fall States 12U Championships
- 3rd Place 2021 NC SC AG Championships
- 3rd Place 2021 ESSZ AG Sectional Championships
- 4th Place Spring 2011 Senior Sectional Championship
- More than 40 North Carolina Swimming State Records
