Any full time NC State student, who still has NCAA eligibility and meets all NC State eligibility conditions, can play. Start dates and practice times will be posted. If you missed the meeting, and practice has started, contact our team officers. The team welcomes players of all skill levels. NC State Lacrosse does a Fall-Ball and Spring season. All practices and games are held at Method Road Field. It is not required that you play Fall in order to play Spring lacrosse. If you want to come out in the Spring, we highly recommend you play Fall ball. Participating in the Fall helps you get back into playing condition, and introduces you to everyone on the team. The Spring season will be highly competitive. If you only plan on doing the Spring, please contact Coach Metro and team president Alex Chapla. To avoid scheduling conflicts in the Spring, please arrange your schedule so that you are available for lacrosse. Fall practice will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday 5-7pm. Spring practice will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday 5-7:30pm. Please speak to Coach Metro about any scheduling conflicts. NC State Lacrosse typically plays other MCLA Division 1 teams. The Spring schedule changes slightly from season to season. In the Fall, we schedule a few scrimmage games typically against other North Carolina Division 1 & 2 teams. The team requires all players have their own equipment. Freshman/new players are going to need a white helmet (which we will provide the decals for), and gloves that only have Red, White, or Black as the color theme. The white helmet and Red/White/Black gloves are requirements for the Spring, not the Fall. To prepare for the season, RUN! Run for distance, and sprint. Get to the gym, find a wall, more sprints, find a buddy and work together on fundamentals. Many of our players will be out shooting on our goals (located on the IM field, or Method Road Field).
