CM Gridiron | Team of the Week | Week 2 | Westbrook Christian Warriors

Congratulations to the Westbrook Christian Warriors on being named the Week 2 CM Gridiron Team of the Week!

Legendary Coach Steve Smith had his Warriors more than ready for one of the biggest challenges on their schedule as they took on the Mars Hill Panthers, the defending state champions from each of the last two seasons.

Westbrook Christian didn’t just show up and compete — the Warriors made a statement. They took down Mars Hill in impressive fashion, 35-14, handing the Panthers a stunning defeat.

Mars Hill entered the matchup having gone an incredible 29-1 over the previous two seasons while winning back-to-back state championships. That makes what Westbrook Christian accomplished Friday night even more impressive.

In our eyes, this was the biggest win in the area Friday night, and for that reason, CM Gridiron has selected the Westbrook Christian Warriors as our Week 2 Team of the Week!

CM Gridiron stopped by Westbrook Christian to deliver the Team of the Week plaque.

What a statement win by the Warriors! Congratulations to Coach Steve Smith and the Westbrook Christian Warriors, and good luck to you all on the rest of the season!

A little later this week, but this guy is worth it! Westbrook Christian School's Brody Blevins is our Week 2 FNN Player of the Week for his outstanding performance in the Warriors' 35-14 win over defending state champions Mars Hill this past Friday.

Brody delivered both on the ground and through the air for Coach Steve Smith. #1 rushed 12 times for 105 yards, including one TD. In the air, Blevins threw daggers...7 for 9 attempts for 219 yards and 3 touchdowns.

We congratulate Brody on his accomplishments last Friday and look forward to delivering his award.
