What a Summer for Rush United FC!

This summer was one of the most exciting and successful in Rush United FC history.

Our UPSL Women’s team captured both the Regular Season Championship and the Conference Tournament Championship before advancing to the Final 16 teams in the country. The program also celebrated the National Golden Boot winner, highlighting an incredible season for our players, staff, and women’s program.

Our boys also made their mark on the national stage. Both the U13 Boys and U15 Boys advanced to the Semifinals of the US Club National Cup, while the U15 Boys were crowned Regional Champions. These accomplishments reflect the hard work of our players, coaches, and families and the continued growth of our player-development pathway.

Off the field, the club is growing just as quickly. This Fall, our Academy and Competitive Programs will expand further into Roanoke, Carroll County, and Galax, supported by an outstanding group of new staff members and coaches.

We are also excited to begin a new chapter through Rush’s partnership with Nike, bringing together two globally recognized brands committed to excellence, innovation, and creating opportunities for athletes.

The Rush Development Center will be fully operational this Fall with the completion of the Rush Game Film Room, Workout Gym, Futures Center, and indoor and outdoor training spaces. This facility will provide our players with year-round opportunities for technical development, tactical education, athletic performance, film study, and college-pathway support.

As we look toward the Fall season, we are excited about expanded Recreational and Youth Development Academy programs, stronger Academy and Competitive teams, new locations, exceptional staff, and even more opportunities for players throughout Rush United FC's Territory!

We are excited to share information about the Rush Youth Development Academy (YDA), a program designed for players born in 2016, 2017, and 2018 who are ready for a more focused soccer experience.

The Youth Development Academy provides a bridge between recreational soccer and our competitive program. It gives young players the opportunity to train in a positive, structured environment while developing the technical skills, confidence, and understanding of the game needed for future success.

The purpose of the YDA is to:

Build strong technical foundations, including dribbling, passing, receiving, and finishing. While beginning to learn simple tactics of the game.

Develop confidence and creativity with the ball.

Introduce age-appropriate tactical concepts and decision-making.

Help players learn teamwork, communication, and good training habits.

Prepare interested players for the next step in the Rush Player Pathway.

The program focuses on development—Individual Development. Players are encouraged to take chances, learn from mistakes, and enjoy the process of improving. Training sessions are designed to maximize each player’s time with the ball through small-sided activities and game-like situations.

The Youth Development Academy is ideal for players who love soccer, want additional training, and are interested in developing toward a competitive playing environment while working on their personal player pathway!

Training will take place in all locations:

Roanoke, NRV, Hillsville, Galax, Abingdon and Banner Elk.

Players have the opportunity to tryout for the Rush Select Academy Team that will place the top players in this age group from 3 Rush Rush clubs and play in some special events.
