I hate to say this but I have no other option but to cancel the yotedown for this year 😥. I do not have enough time to even look through alll the texts, Fb messages, and check in locations books to tally that up and that is probably only 1/5 of what needs to be done. I can’t set up any electronic payments (like Venmo) because they are tied up in other businesses (I know there may be other ways, I dont need help figuring that out if I do t have help with the rest of the things). I can’t run around and pick up donations. I can’t set up a spreadsheet for tracking registration and entries, I can’t work on t shirt designs and get quotes on all that stuff, can’t start preparing for a banquet, and so many other little things by myself, I dont even have time to finish half the things for my businesses every day. Seemed there were way more than enough people wanting to help at first when we started discussing but now each person that tries to help finds themselves in the same situation. We can try this again next year. I will get with you if you have paid and it has been deposited, I think it was only 2 groups.

Sorry it has been a while, I am still as busy as ever, the check ins are showing that the activity has slowed down a lot. I am not going to rush to finalize things, I am still in desperate need of help, I would like to get everything set up correctly and people in place so that it will actually be something next year. If I can’t find a few volunteers we won’t be able to do it next year. Seemed there were a ton of people wanting to help when this was an idea but once it became something no one is available anymore.

There’s still time to get a team together, we will have the awards in may!! I was able to take a look at the registrations today, looks like we have about 15 teams right now. I have some helping put everything together now, he is out of town for a few more days then we will be posting some standings!!

In the process of getting some to take over the registration and entries so that we can show a leaderboard soon, until then keep smacking em down, everyone putting a hell of a dent in them. I have all the texts and fb messages and everything saved, but please keep notes of your kills we will double check everything

I seriously need some help with this, looks like we might need to hire someone to just check the FB, record the kills, set up a payment and registration system, just basic things, I have zero time, I cannot finish up half the things that I need to with my businesses daily and I don’t see my family at all, someone that has 15 free minutes a day would be huge, hundreds, probably over a thousand of ppl are pumped up about this I can’t just drop it but I have zero help and less than zero time. Someone help me come up with something, I am taking a break right now just to make this post, it could end up huge but I need more than 1 coal in the fire!!

Here’s a little bit of unofficial standings, I still have info to collect from check in stations tomorrow

Jeremiah and Zach are in the lead (not posting weights yet) with Derek justice (team don’t matter) not far behind and Nick Leblanc (lead poisoning) in third

Derek (don’t matter) leading with Ryan and von (3D farms) then Jeremiah and Zach

Jeremiah and Zach with 2 cats

We will leave registration open and also push back closing ceremonies until
I have a chance to get a handle on everything. I am trying to get all the registrations gathered this week, sponsor donations and payment link set up next week and shirts made the next, everything will be extended so if you if you haven’t registered or hunted you still have time!

We originally had a cut off date for registration but we will be extending it for a few more weeks until we can get our stuff straight. Keep registering and keep hunting!!

We are getting a lot of messages about check stations. If you are having problems getting to one or catching them during business hours, for this year only (we will be much more organized next year, just crunched for time this year) first you must have registration filled out before the harvest, (payment system coming soon) then we will be allowing you to send a video with your scale zero’ed out then weighing your yote. Send it to the yotedown messenger. Remember, my sister is chomping at the bit to give polygraphs. I will try to have the teams registered posted and a leaderboard set up soon also. We have had 8-10 dogs and a few bobcats checked in recently!!
