Raceland Boys' Varsity Track

Raceland Boys' Varsity Track The Raceland-Worthington High School Boy's Track and Field program was started in 1934, & had it's first success in 1935 under coach Dick Watters.

The History of Boy's Track and Field at Raceland-Worthington High School in Raceland, KY since 1934. 21-Time Class A Regional Champions, & the 2003 Class A State Champions. Watters left after the 1938 season for Ludlow. Their first track meets were held at the Old Armco Park. In 1938, this changed because the park was being used to produce more steel for the World War Two War effort. Meets were th

en moved to Central Park from 1939 to 1947, when a cinder track was built in the park. This was the only track & field facility in Eastern Kentucky at that time. There were very few wins in the 50's and 60's until the KHSAA began a classification system among big and small schools in 1966. Since that time the Ramblers have been a Class A School in Track and Field.

Congratulations to Max Burton for being named to the KHSAA Class A 1st Team All State Track team in the 300 Meter Hurdles. He was also named 2nd Team All State in the 110 High Hurdles.
