Good afternoon ski hill fans. We sadly have to make the decision to cancel our last community ski day due to lack of snow pack. It was a great achievement for the club to move people mechanically on the hill for the first time in many moons, we thank everyone that came and supported our event. We are extremely grateful for our volunteers that came together to make it happen.
will still be putting on the Full Moon Event Saturday evening.

Huge shout out to our local heros. Thank you search and rescue and Plumas Eureka Fire. These two groups are also volunteer based it show how rooted our community is in volunteers. Glad we could provide assistance.
Although it was a great coordinated group effort, it is a stark reminder that spring skiing and dangers are upon us with conditions rapidly deteriorating daily. Be safe while recreating use the buddy system.

Greetings to our longboard race fans and plumas ski club supporters. As much as we regret to do this we must CANCEL MARCH races due to lack of snow. We tried every snow dances we had in our pocket, volunteers even tried to perform our own miracle march developing plans to harvest snow around the mountian to make it happen but the snow conditions and warm weather have pushed that out of reach. Stay tuned for updates for our community ski day for 3/28 we will be giving it our best shot to make it happen. That being said the Full Moon Event put on by will be on rain or shine on 3/28

Ouick update/ reminder for our community ski day As much a we love to give our furry family members the absolute freedom thev deserve , But for the safety of skier/snowboarders and of our four legged friends, all dogs must be on a leash and please pick up after your pet not only because it is the right thing to do but it makes the hill much more enioyable with the fear of sliding through something you dont want to... With our events being held on state parks ground not only is this a common courtesy, but the leash law is enforceable by state parks

Calling ski club supporters ,strong backs and good shovels needed. This weekend we will have volunteers at the hill starting the process of digging out. We will have some today and tomorrow at various time. A bigger crew will be out tomorrow. Grooming crew will be focused today on getting the groomer out then supporting snow moving needs.the deck is the biggest obstacle and what we will need the most help with. Crews will work our way to get the blowers out for the deck. Its best to get it done before it compresses. Any bit of help is appreciated it. We thank you

We are still looking for more artist we have gotten a couple in so far
Hear ye! Hear ye! Calling all artists of the Lost Sierra! The Plumas Ski Club is in need of new historic ski-based art for use on new merchandise! We ask that any and all interested artists prepare and submit an art piece by Friday March 13, 2026 for consideration by the PSC Merchandise Committee. A single art piece will then be selected for use and the selected artist will be right and honorably acknowledged and awarded a $100 cash prize by the Club during the World Championship Longboard Race on March 15, 2026! Submittals should be scanned pdf copies of the original art piece submitted to PSC Board President Greg Hinds via email ([email protected]). Note, the copyright for the selected art piece will need to be fully released by the artist to the Plumas Ski Club. And if your art piece is not selected, do not worry, for you will have an opportunity to submit again next year! Our community-run volunteer organization depends on these efforts and takes great pride in continuing these long-standing traditions (since the 1860s!). Please contact Greg Hinds with any questions or for any additional information.
