2026 recap buckle up it’s a long one
The two day show at Quincy this past weekend brings our season to an end. I cant thank Logan Cumby enough for letting me drive his car Saturday night after our engine let go in the heat race Friday allowing me to end the season with a top 5 instead of a DNF.
our 2026 season has definitely consisted of the highest of highs and the lowest of lows but its all part of racing cars. We ended the season with 2 wins, 8 top 5s, and 10 top 10s. This sport is very rewarding and humbling at times but if it was easy everyone would do it. The memories and friendships made throughout the year mean more than any trophy ever could. Racing is a lot more than just showing up at the racetrack every weekend. Its countless hours in the shop, sleepless nights wondering what you can do to be faster the next weekend and a lot of hard work and dedication. I can't put into words how much i appreciate everyone who has supported me throughout the season. Whether you've been in the stands cheering me on, stopped and talked to me, helped wrench on the car, sponsored me, or sent me a text giving me words of encouragement it truly means more than you know and it doesn't go unnoticed. Racing wouldn't be possible without the people standing behind me and it’s something i don't take for granted.
With that being said there are a few people i want to thank in particular
Jason Frankel (dad)- I want to thank my dad for everything he has done for me throughout my racing career and life in general. From teaching me how to ride a bike to teaching me how to drive and work on a racecar, he has been there for me every step of the way. All the time, effort, sacrifices, and support he has put into helping me chase dreams mean more to me than words can explain. He has taught me so much, not only about racing but the importance of respect and kindness, i will be forever grateful for all of the patience and guidance you have given me throughout my life. I'm beyond grateful for the relationship we have and how much time we get to spend together doing something we both love.
And also thank you for not ripping my head off when the car comes back to the pits on a tow truck.
Christy Frankel (mom)- I want to thank my mom for everything she does at the track and at home, she is the glue that hold us all together. although i stress her out more than anyone she's always there for me constantly asking me if i need anything and if there's anything she can do to help. When we have bad nights at the track i try to remember she always taught me "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all." She always believes in me even when i doubt myself and makes sure to always makes sure to tell me how good of a job i did even when i don't believe that i did. She's always there encouraging me trying to push me to be the best version of myself even when things get tough. Thank you for being my biggest supporter through the highs and the lows.
Betsy Schild (grandma)- She's the short bossy one y’all see walking around the track. all jokes aside, she's been by my side through it all from go karts, school sports, and racing. Whatever it is that i enjoy doing she's always there supporting me 110% and is always trying to do something to help out no matter what.
Chris Campbell (crew chief)- Chris works his tail off every night at the track, he was my dads right hand man back in the day when he was racing and he started helping again when i started racing. He always tells me before every race "25 clean" and you cant win the race on the first lap. We appreciate all of the hard work you put in Chris!!
I also have to thank Rickey Frankel and Rick Frankel for always lending a hand in the shop. Anytime we need anything they drop what they’re doing on their car and come help us no questions asked. Can’t thank you guys enough.
All in All we had a good season and we learned a lot. We’re going to hit it hard this winter and prepare for next season, we have big plans for 2027 and can’t wait to see everyone back at the track!
Thank you to all of our sponsors that helped out this year, we couldn’t do it without you guys.
