Today was Gem City’s final day of competition at the 2026 USTA National Championships in Madison, Wisconsin. Today we had our Sub-Novice athletes competing and they put forth a great effort and represented their club well. Welcome to day one of the 2026 USTA National Championships. Let’s start with some of the biggest news GCGT has ever been able to announce. At nationals, athletes not only compete individually but they have the chance to compete as a team as well. All advanced athletes in all levels come together as teams to compete for a team title. It is our honor to announce that the Gem City Gymnastics & Tumbling Advanced Girls are the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS this year for tumbling team awards!!! This year’s advanced team competing for the championship consisted of Ellisyn Stratman, Morgan Venvertloh, Isla Ufkes, Sarah Shumake, Hadley Trowbridge, and Mae Pittman. This marks GCGT’s first advanced girls team title! Three of our athletes were also recognized for being on the USTA National Team and performed. Tonight seven of our tumbling team members that are competing at nationals this week attended a two-hour open workout. Our Advanced & Elite athletes took advantage of the opportunity and got one more practice in before preliminary competitions start in the morning!

We’re on the road❗️Some have actually already arrived in Madison. We’re ready for Nationals!

We have 24 tumblers competing at the 2026 United States Tumbling & Trampoline National Championships this coming week! We are so proud of this team.💎

It may be raining again today, but yesterday our teams had their annual Team Mixer in the beautiful sunshine! ☀️ It’s the first time each season that we bring team families together to have fun outside of the gym. 🍉

We were missing some, but we still laughed too much, enjoyed some games, and got to know our new members better! 😊 Thank you to those that came and mingled!
