The Popsicles to Pencils Back-to-School Resource Fair is happening today at the Hale Family YMCA, and we can’t wait to welcome our community!

Bring the family for a FREE day of fun, connection, and resources to help kick off the school year strong. Enjoy activities for all ages, including:

🤸 Gymnastics Evaluations: 9 am - 10:30 am
⚽ Sports challenges: 11 am - 12:30 pm
🏊 Swim evaluations: 10 am - 11:30 am
🎨 Arts & crafts: 9 am - 1 pm
💜 Community resources: 9 am - 1 pm
🚲 Outside: Popsicles, Pencils, Chalk, and Bike Checks: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
👨‍👩‍👧 Fun for all ages!

Our Gymnastics Team recently sat down with Luke, South Shore YMCA's Director of Health & Wellness, for a fun conversation about healthy eating, smart snacks, and fueling their bodies for success.

Now, let's address the elephant in the room...

👀 Did anyone else notice the bag of Doritos sitting right in front of Luke? According to him, they're packed with protein. We're still fact-checking that one. 😆

Jokes aside, one of the best things about the Y is having knowledgeable staff who are always willing to share tips, answer questions, and help members build healthy habits that last a lifetime.

🎶☀️ One Last Summer Concert! ☀️🎶

Tonight is the final South Shore YMCA Family Summer Concert Series performance of the season, and we're ending on a high note with Zak Jacobson!

A talented solo guitarist and vocalist, Zak brings an incredible mix of rock and pop favorites, an amazing voice, and the perfect soundtrack for a summer evening.

What a fun summer it's been! We've loved seeing families, friends, neighbors, and community members come together week after week to enjoy live music, laughter, and connection. Thank you for making this season so special.

Join us one last time, bring a chair, bring your family, and vibe with us as we celebrate the final concert of the summer!

🍓✨ What’s the secret ingredient?

At The Taste of the South Shore, Niveaux Patisserie brought the sweetness, creativity, and serious pastry magic! From beautiful fruit-inspired treats to a team that knows how to have fun, they gave us plenty to savor. 💛

We’re still thinking about these delicious creations! And they took home the award for Top Sweet!

🤸‍♀️ Weight a Minute with Luke: Gymnastics Edition! 🤸

This week, Luke is joined by Kara, our Association Gymnastics Director, to talk all things gymnastics at the Y!

Fall classes and programs are now open for registration, and there's something for every age and skill level. Our gymnastics team is also welcoming new athletes and currently has openings for evaluations.

Plus, we're looking for a special someone to help coach and inspire our youngest gymnasts as a Preschool Gymnastics Instructor.

At the Y, we're making a difference in the world one hop, flip, and cartwheel at a time. 💙
