Here's a bit about what they do: The Chill Foundation inspires youth to overcome challenges through board sports. The 1,400 youth we work with annually, referred to Chill via 155 local social service and government partners, face a myriad of challenges: socio-economic, mental health, foster care, and other issues that require targeted support and attention. Chill removes the youth from their day-to-day environments and brings them to the mountain, lake, ocean, or skate park for six sessions of one-on-one and small group instruction, interaction, and motivation, to get them outside their comfort zones and realize rapid emotional and physical growth. The sessions are focused on one of six Chill themes: respect, courage, patience, responsibility, persistence, and pride. Chill strives to supercharge youthโs confidence, broaden their worldview, and instill a positivity that contributes to the youthโs ability to realize their full potential and get the most of their personal support systems.
