Adirondack Bass Club The Adirondack Bass Club is a highly competitive bass tournament fishing club. We are constantly looking to add to our membership for the upcoming year.

Our club is made up of area residents who enjoy and wish to learn more about competitive angling. We are also very dedicated to our area youth, conservation and preserving our natural resources for future generations. We are members of ESPN’s B.A.S.S., the National Bass Chapter Federation and the New York State Bass Chapter Federation.

On Sunday August 23rd, the Adirondack Bass Club held their 4th points tournament which was on Lake Champlain at the South Bay ramp. Red hot Joe Happy took 1st place with a 15.73lb bag of smallmouth! 2nd place was Bob Batchelder with 14.12lbs. 3rd place was Don “Awesome” Austin with 13.42lbs and Mr. Awesome also took lunker with a 4.68lb largemouth! Congratulations gentleman! Our next tournament is our Annual Walter J. Bujanowski Memorial open team tournament that will be held 9/6 on Lake Champlain at the Ticonderoga launch. Details can be found by reading the tournament flyer which is now posted on our website. Please note that in the past we have determined boat numbers by order of entry, we will no longer be doing this. We will have boat numbers written on paper plates, registered participants will simply draw a random plate to determine their boat number the morning of the tournament at the registration table. Hope to see a good turnout for this event!

Sunday August 9th the Adirondack Bass Club fished their 3rd points tournament of the season on Lake Champlain out of Port Henry. Nate Lewis took the win with a weight of 21.12lbs and also took lunker with a 6.19 FENCE PANDA! In 2nd place was Bob Batchelder weighing in 18.85 lbs. Rounding out the top 3 was Joe Happy weighing 18.24lbs. Nice job guys! Our next points tournament is 8/23 on Lake Champlain at the South Bay ramp.

On 7/25 & 7/26, six members of the Adirondack Bass Club competed against other B.A.S.S. Nation clubs on Onondaga Lake at the Club Team Championship and finished 5th overall with a 2 day total weight of 127.58lbs. Brian Welch took day 1 lunker with a 4.71 lb largemouth! Big congratulations goes out to Don “Awesome” Austin who finished 1st overall for the individual standings with a 2-day total of 35.56 lbs! Don qualified to fish the B.A.S.S. Nation Championship in November on Lake Hartwell in South Carolina where the top 3 finishers will move on to fish the 2027 Bassmaster Classic! 😳😃🤘🏻 What an amazing opportunity!

Sunday June 28th, the Adirondack Bass Club held their second points tournament on Schroon Lake in Pottersville. New comer Joe Happy got his first win with 15.53lbs and to add icing to the cake, he also got lunker with a 4.29lb largemouth. In 2nd was the home lake favorite, Brian Welch, who came in with 13.90lbs. Taking 3rd was Bob Batchelder with 13.40lbs. Congratulations guys! Our next points tournament will be on Lake Champlain in Port Henry on 8/9.

The Adirondack Bass Club held their summer team open tournament on Father’s Day, Sunday June 21st, on Lake Champlain in Ticonderoga. 1st place went to Corey DiLorenzo and Luke Musto with a weight of 16.48lbs. 2nd was team Mike & Tom with 15.20lbs. 3rd was Bob Batchelder, who fished by himself, with 14.19lbs and he also had lunker with a 4.46 largemouth just barely beating Corey & Luke’s big fish that was 4.45lbs😳. We raffled off several Bass Pro/Cabela’s gift cards totaling $400 thanks to Day Brothers Boats and Outdoor located in Plattsburgh. If you ever need marine service, want to buy a boat, or need some outdoor supplies, stop in and see them! Thanks to all that participated, we hope to see you next season for this event!

Saturday June 13th the Adirondack Bass Club had it’s first points tournament at Lake Bomoseen. Addison Kelly took 1st with 16.62lbs, Shane McCabe was 2nd with 15.61 and also took lunker with a 5.02 largemouth. Nate Lewis was 3rd with 15.07lbs. Nice job guys! Our next points tournament is Sunday June 28th at Schroon Lake.

The Adirondack Bass Club will be hosting our 14th annual summer open on Lake Champlain at the Ticonderoga boat ramp Sunday June 21st. This is an open team event, entry fee is $100 with a $10 optional lunker fee. Registration is the morning of the tournament from 4:30AM - 5:30AM, tournament hours will be from 6AM - 2PM. Please visit our website to view the tournament flyer for more details. We will be raffling off 4 Bass Pro Shops gift cards, $200, $100, $50, and a second $50 gift card. Raffle tickets are $10 per raffle ticket and can be purchased from now up until the time of the drawing. Please reach out to any Adirondack Bass Club member if interested in purchasing raffle tickets. The winners will be drawn right after weigh-ins have finished at the Ticonderoga boat ramp.

Results for our 5/172026 paper tournament on Lake Champlain in Ticonderoga were as follows: Rich Ortiz won his second in a row and this time also got lunker with 19.74lbs and the 5.39lb lunker. 2nd was Bob Bachelder with 16.73lbs. 3rd was Mark Jedrick with 13.16lbs.

Results for our 4/26/2026 paper tournament on Lake George are as follows: Rich Ortiz won with 17.41lbs. Joe Tornabene took 2nd and lunker fishing his first ever tournament with us with 16.49lbs and the 4.69lb lunker. 3rd was Corey DiLorenzo with 14.32lbs.

We have received a few messages with people asking information about joining the club, here is a little bit of information you will need to know. If you have additional questions, please message us on here, thanks!

1. Must be at least 16 years of age and be an active member of Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.)

2. Fees are $10 for club dues, $30 for Bass Nation (basically our insurance), then an optional $20 fee if you want to join the NY Bass Federation. Only club members who join the NY Bass Federation will be eligible to qualify for the 6 person club team event. There is also an optional $10 lunker of the year fee. This is winner take all at the end of the year for whoever lands the heaviest bass in our points tournaments. In order to be eligible, you will need to pay the $10 fee prior to our first points tournament of the season. Club tournaments cost $40 to enter and that includes lunker.

3. We typically have in-person meetings once a month on the 3rd Thursday at 7PM at the VFW located at 32 Luzerne Rd., Queensbury 12804. We will likely not have a meeting in March but will likely have one in April on the 16th. You can pay your dues and fill out the membership form at a meeting. You will need your B.A.S.S. membership ID number and the expiration date.

4. You must comply with all NYS boating regulations and carry a minimum of $300,000 in liability on your boat insurance if you are using a boat in any of our events. People without boats are also welcome/encouraged to join the club. We do a boater to non-boater pairing the morning of each tournament.
