In Fond Memory of George Masone

The martial arts world lost one of its most devoted brothers today. George Masone was more than just a practitioner; he was a builder. From his early days as a student of I Liq Chuan to his many years spent hosting the US Open Martial Arts Championship, George was the "relentless promoter" every athlete needs in their corner.
He brought a rare, lovable personality to everything he touched. Whether he was discussing the nuances of a martial form or sharing his deep, infectious love of music, George did it with a smile that could light up the largest tournament hall.
He was a good friend, a great mentor, and a truly happy soul. While we are saddened by his passing, we are better for having known him. He will be deeply missed by the entire community.
