Peyton Manning was told his career might be over.

After four neck surgeries and missing the entire 2011 season, he joined the Broncos and immediately put together one of the greatest comeback seasons in NFL history:

๐Ÿˆ 4,659 Passing Yards
๐Ÿˆ 37 Passing TDs
๐Ÿˆ 68.6% Completion Percentage (Led NFL)
๐Ÿˆ 105.6 Passer Rating
๐Ÿˆ 79.6 QBR (Led NFL)

He earned 1st Team All-Pro honors, won Comeback Player of the Year, and finished 2nd in MVP voting.

Most players would be thrilled just to play again after what Peyton went through. Instead, he returned and played at an MVP level.

One of the most remarkable comeback seasons sports has ever seen. ๐Ÿ

Priest Holmesโ€™ prime doesnโ€™t get talked about nearly enough ๐Ÿ’ฏ

From 2001-2004, he was an absolute touchdown machine and one of the most complete running backs the NFL has ever seen. He could run between the tackles, catch passes out of the backfield, and score from anywhere on the field.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 5,482 rushing yards
๐Ÿ”ฅ 7,645 yards from scrimmage
๐Ÿ”ฅ 76 total touchdowns
๐Ÿ”ฅ 70 rushing touchdowns in just 54 games

Real football fans remember when Priest Holmes was putting up video game numbers every single week.

First base has produced some of the greatest hitters the game has ever seen, and narrowing it down to just 10 names wasnโ€™t easy ๐Ÿ‘€

From the unmatched dominance of Lou Gehrig and Albert Pujols, to legends like Jimmie Foxx, Frank Thomas, and Miguel Cabrera, this position is loaded with all-time greatness. Power, consistency, MVPs, championships, and longevity all played a role in these rankings.

People forget just how dominant Shaq was before the Lakers dynasty.

From 1992-96 with the Orlando Magic:

๐Ÿ€ 27.2 PPG
๐Ÿ’ช 12.5 REB/G
๐Ÿšซ 2.8 BLK/G
๐ŸŽฏ 58.1 FG%

โญ 4x All-Star
๐Ÿ† 3x All-NBA
๐Ÿ‘‘ 1992-93 Rookie of the Year

By age 24, Shaq had already turned an expansion franchise into an NBA Finals team and was arguably the most unstoppable force in basketball.

The scary part? He was still getting better.

The point guard position has evolved more than any other in NBA history.

From Magic Johnson redefining what a floor general could be, to Stephen Curry changing basketball forever with his shooting range, every era had a PG that changed the game in their own way.

Elite passers. Elite scorers. Elite leaders.
This list is stacked with legends that controlled the pace of the game and made everyone around them better.

The WR position was absolutely loaded in 2002. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Marvin Harrison put up a ridiculous 384.2 PPR points, but he wasnโ€™t the only star putting up monster numbers. Hines Ward, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, Eric Moulds, Joe Horn, and Jerry Rice all delivered huge seasons for fantasy managers.

Looking back, itโ€™s crazy how many future Hall of Famers and underrated studs were producing at an elite level in the same season.

Who was your favorite WR from this era? ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿˆ

Real fans remember Jimmy Smith being a BALLER ๐Ÿ™Œ

Jimmy Smith never got the attention of some of the bigger-name receivers from his era, but the production speaks for itself. Nearly 12,300 receiving yards, 9 straight 1,000-yard seasons, and one of the smoothest route runners of the late 90s and early 2000s.

If you watched football back then, you already know how dominant Jimmy Smith really was.

One of the most underrated WRs in NFL history. ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ”ฅ

My top 10 shortstops of all time ๐Ÿ‘

My all-time shortstop list mixes greatness, longevity, defense, championships, and overall impact on the game.

From the consistency of Derek Jeter to the all-around dominance of Alex Rodriguez at shortstop, this position has had some absolute legends.

Youโ€™ve got defensive icons like Ozzie Smith, power hitters like Ernie Banks, and complete all-around stars like Barry Larkin and Cal Ripken Jr..

Brandon Roy could have been SPECIAL ๐Ÿ™

Brandon Roy had everything: smooth scoring, clutch shot-making, elite basketball IQ, and the ability to completely take over games when it mattered most.

Injuries may have shortened the career, but anyone who watched prime B-Roy knows he was on the path to superstardom.

One of the biggest โ€œwhat ifsโ€ in NBA history โ€” and one of the coldest players of his era. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ€
