🚨 COOLING STATION NOW OPEN – QUAPAW NATION FITNESS CENTER 🚨

Due to the Extreme Heat Warning affecting the Quapaw Nation and surrounding communities, the Quapaw Nation Cooling Station is now open at the Quapaw Nation Fitness Center in Quapaw.

Dangerous heat and humidity will create heat index values well above 100°F, making it possible for heat-related illnesses to develop quickly—especially for older adults, young children, those with chronic medical conditions, and anyone working or spending extended time outdoors.

If you need relief from the heat, please stop by and cool down in our air-conditioned facility.

🌡️ Heat Safety Tips

💧 Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty.
🏠 Stay in air-conditioned buildings whenever possible.
☀️ Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day (generally 11 AM–7 PM).
👕 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting, light-colored clothing.
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.
❤️ Check on elderly family members, neighbors, and anyone who may not have adequate cooling.

⚠️ Know the Warning Signs

Seek immediate medical attention if someone experiences:

Confusion or loss of consciousness
Hot, red skin
Rapid pulse
Body temperature above 103°F
Heat stroke symptoms

Here’s our hours for the week!!!
The basketball court will be closed Tuesday to set up for health fair. Wednesday is the Health Fair, court will be back up and functioning by Thursday morning. The Gym will still be open regular hours. Closed the 3rd and the 4th.
