GSF&G would like to thank our volunteers for a great turn out for today's work day. Much of the team, including Walt Sinnwell, Chris Clemens, Harry Sztenderowicz, Jeffrey Horvath, Bill Zane, Andrew Snyder cut, split, and stacked firewood. Mike Holzer, Dean Knepp and Barry Pospisil cleared the bridge overflow issue. Joe Berardi w**d trimmed and detailed with the leaf blower, while Bob Foyder cleared our trash on the ranges and did general cleanup. Tony Kulp kept the kitchen going, feeding our hungry crew.

GSF&G work day this Saturday Sept 5th from 8AM to 12PM we will be splitting and stacking wood, cleaning up sticks on the grounds, power washing the porch entrance, trimming around the ponds, and clearing the pond overflow. Please come out and support your club.

Just a reminder that general meeting is tonight 8-25-26 doors open at 6:30 and meeting starts at 7:30pm. Orientation class for new members and junior members turning 16 this year will be held after the meeting. GSF&G merchandise and apparel available for sale before and after meeting. GSF&G members, we want to notify you that the club contacted the Bucks County Conservation District regarding our problem with the Canadian Geese at our ponds. We were directed to Nate Spence with USDA APHIS and have contracted him to help manage the goose population. This contract is effective immediately. Just wanted to give our members a heads up that they may be seeing an unfamiliar face at the club.

Four fi****ms, sixteen games of bingo, a $2,000 vault, and the kitchen open all day. Doors open at noon and games start at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 20.

Entry is $65 in advance or $75 at the door, and covers all sixteen games.

BIGGEST BUCK contest sign-ups close Tuesday, August 25.

Great Swamp runs a Biggest Buck Competition every deer season. Free to enter, open to any member. One winner takes home $100 and a Big Buck hat, awarded at the February meeting.

Sign up before you hunt — a buck taken before you enter doesn't count. And you don't have to be at the August meeting to enter.

Racks are measured in February using the Buckmasters system, which takes no deductions for uneven racks. A heavy 9-point gets full credit for every inch it grew.

Saturday, August 8, 2026 is our monthly work day from 8-12. If you can volunteer an hour or two, it would be greatly appreciated. There are still some projects to be completed from the flooding damage. Cleaning up brush on the far side of the meat hole pond, clearing debris from the grounds, and clearing a fallen tree by the creek. Please check in at the club house with President Carl Lewis for more details and to sign in. Great opportunity for new members to complete their hours. Look forward to seeing you at the club.
