Hello true believers...It has been a long time since I posted anything here. Originally this site was to be a place to put a lot of my concepts and Ideas out for public viewing...But as in the poem... Life has a tendency of taking odd twists and turns and once the current round of Pandemic variations are done maybe we can get something going...

Looking forward to seeing my students on Sat 8/7/21 besides getting back into the swing of things. There are a number of items we need to discuss as a group...MY yard and home are okay for the summer months and early fall but winter may be an issue. So bring some ideas for alternate training areas we can all utilize. Community Centers are fine but have a tendency to not allow non residents participate. Thursday 8/12/21 we will begin somewhere between 530 and 6pm and work out as long as we can...looking forward to seeing you all...again if you need my address send me a line as [email protected]

To My Students,
I introduced on my Karate site...Donald Great Oak Palko... that I will begin classes on August 7, 2021 between 0900 and 1000. I have been asked to also have a class after 430pm and I may also be conducting a class then. There will be no charge for the classes other than some sweat equity to help keep the area clean and neat...Also to move some items out of storage. For more info on my home's location please send me an email at [email protected]...I will not be giving out that location via social media...I know many of you have answered via the other site...If you would please do so here I would appreciate it.

To steal a quote from the late great Stan Lee...Hello true believers.... The Great Oak Karate is calling to all "True Believers...We are looking for a home...I still like teaching from home but the forthcoming Summer with bugs and heat have caused me to reevaluate my decision. So we are looking for a home...I do have one possibility but the more the merrier....So if you know of a place with room and either cheap or free let myself or one of my Black Belts know.....Excelsior!!!!

I want to thank everyone for your patience. I am still not in a place to resume training. Though my bliss of teaching Karate is still in my blood the fire that once existed prior to the loss of my wife Theresa has diminished. Eventually the fight that was in my soul to nurture my creation will return and I will continue my work with my students, though possibly at a slower pace. If you want to find out more about the Okina Kashi no Ryu I have placed a number of jpg in the notes section of the Gales Ferry/Great Oak Karate facebook site.
