On Wednesday, we capped our season with our end of the year bowling banquet!

This year, we debuted a new award, the South Sound Classic Most Valuable Contributor Award. As the has grown, it has become a big part of our teams identity. Like a race of their own, our athletes are working hard to prepare and execute their tasks at a high level.

No two people have done this with such enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment to the cause over the last couple of seasons as Jason Bruns and Jordan Gray. They have led the most chaotic and constant job on the track, the block and bucket crew! This fast pace job requires constant vigilance, speed, and accuracy as they time their role within the demands of the race and meet as a whole.

We brought in a small group of officials from out of town this year, the former WSU head track coaches and high level officials, who have attended dozens of NCAA Championships, Olympics, and other high level events. The first thing they said about our event was how impressive Jordan and Jason were all day long!

This meet means a lot to our program and their commitment to making it great is a huge testament to their character, work ethic, and skills. We are beyond proud to honor Jason and Jordan as the FIRST EVER winners of the South Sound Classic Most Valuable Contributor Award!!!

Congratulations to coach Pat Mullen on earning SPSL Division Coach of the Year, as voted on unanimously by his peers. After leading the Jags to 18 regular season wins and an undefeated SPSL season, this is a great testament to the hard work of the entire staff and the awesome athletes that help make Emerald Ridge great!

Our entire track team wanted to send a big congratulations!

Up to SIXTY SEVEN schools registered for the South Sound Classic! This includes 12 new teams to the mix! With less than 3 weeks to the start of the season, we’re excited to break the 70 team barrier!
