Strength is especially built in the true 1 to 5 rep range. And if you really want to see strength gains in the big lifts like squat, bench, and deadlift, you need to get comfortable with longer rest periods. Minimum 3 minutes between sets. And up to 5 minutes for your absolute heaviest sets.
Yes, you will feel ready to go before that. But your central nervous system is still doing a lot of recovery behind the scenes. It makes all the difference. And if I’m working that hard to lift heavier, I’m not short changing my strength results for a shorter rest period.
Sure, shorter rest periods are useful for accessory exercises at higher rep ranges -but not here when you are trying to maximize strength. 🙂 💪🏻

Tuesdays 8:30am
Thursdays 9:30am
Fridays 9:30am
Classes are only 8 ladies maximum and all programs are customized, working full body in each 45-minute session.
