Words cannot express how proud this club, its coaches, and the rest of the athletes are of Jake and Mel for graduating tonight!!

We’ve had the honor of knowing Jake since he started training with Helman’s in 2022. We’ve watched him work endless hours to develop his boxing skills that won him 3 fights as Punxsy Prominence’s first fighter. He has become an outstanding young man, playing percussion in the band, working with drama club, and doing one of the most selfless acts someone can do; join the Army National Guard. He is one of the best Punxsy Prominence has to offer and we look forward to seeing him graduate from basic training and going on to AIT.

Mel started with us in 2024 as a shy girl content to just hang out, but through grit, determination, and “you don’t tell me what I can’t do” attitude she has grown into one of the most accomplished young women Punxsy has to offer. We watched her accomplish her goals of becoming drum major, performing in several plays, show choir, swim team, and honoring us as our first female fighter! She has been accepted into IUP for sports medicine and we hope she’ll stay around to train and mentor our younger fighters. She is truly an inspiration to young girls everywhere looking to find their inner fighter.

We are so proud of them!!! Punxsy Prominence will always be their family and biggest fans.

Neeko fought each round and lost by split decision. While it wasn’t the outcome we wanted we are proud of him for putting the work in and going toe to toe with a more seasoned fighter.
Every loss is a lesson. Neeko, while disappointed, knows what he did well and what we need to work on going forward.

It was a real privilege to watch some of our athletes perform in the band tonight. I am in awe of all their talents. Not only are they committed to training but spend countless hours practicing their instruments.
