Southwest Florida โ May 3, 2026 โ Twin Rivers United proudly announces a historic milestone following last nightโs United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) Menโs Division 1 match win against SWFL SC. Miguel โMigzโ Dotres a 15-year-old standout from Win Soccer Academy, recently called up to the senior squad, found the back of the net in the 37th minute to level the match becoming the youngest player in club history to score for Twin Rivers United at just 15 years and 180 days old.
This achievement marks him as the youngest goalscorer in Twin Rivers United history and one of the youngest in UPSL Division One, highlighting both his individual talent and the strength of the clubโs developmental system.
The goal not only energized the team but also underscored the vision behind the clubโs player pathway.
โThis marks a defining moment for our academy pathway and our commitment to developing players capable of competing at the highest levels,โ said Cory Schleyer, Owner of Twin Rivers United. โSeeing a young player step up and deliver on this stage is exactly what weโve been building toward.โ
Win Soccer Academy has been working in close collaboration with Twin Rivers United over the past six months, focusing on establishing a professional-style development environment. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to creating clear opportunities for young talent to progress from youth soccer into the senior ranks.
With both Premier and Division One teams competing in the UPSL, the addition of a structured youth academy represents the next step in the clubโs long-term visionโto build a complete player development model and elevate the standard of soccer in the Charlotte County and Southwest Florida region.
Last nightโs achievement stands as a powerful example of that vision in action.
