It is with an extremely heavy heart that we inform you that Karen Hannaford, Premier Junior Tour founder and owner, has passed away at the age of 59.

In early December, Karen was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. The cancer was very aggressive and led to a major stroke on Christmas Eve. She passed a few days later from further complications.

We are all at a loss for words and still in shock to lose her so suddenly and so quickly.

In July 2007, Karen started Premier Junior Golf Tour. She started the Tour not only to help provide a platform for her sons to succeed in junior golf and in life, but to help as many other families as possible to do the same. Her love and her life will always be remembered and cherished by those who knew her, both on and off the golf course.

At this time, 2021 Premier Junior Tour events and operations are on hold until further notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we determine how best to move forward.

Congratulations to your Champions this weekend at the Orange County National Fall Junior Open on the Crooked Cat course! We thank OCN for great course conditions, and a welcoming, friendly, helpful staff and management! The weather was refreshingly in the low 80s, and Sunday included some cloud cover for a natural umbrella for all. Pace of play was spectacular and under time, and we're proud of each and every competitor!

Congratulations to all of our Champions this weekend at the Disney Junior Open at Lake Buena Vista! Although wet conditions prevailed, the players were able to stick the greens, which were in great shape, as well as enjoy great conditions on the entire course. Of course, the service and entire Disney experience was phenomenal! We love coming to Disney!
