Hello everyone!

I just wanted to give everyone an update on my Ulman 4K for Cancer Fundraiser! Thank you to all of you Cougs who have supported me on this journey! I am now currently at a fundraising total of $3,105 towards the required $4,500 goal! $720 of that total came from you Cougs, with most people being complete strangers who I’ve never met! The kindness and generosity of the WSU community is humbling and inspirational!

I was shipping out WSU > UW wristbands for every $10 increment donated. I started with 40 wristbands and now I’m down to having 8 left. If you would like one of the few remaining wristbands, please donate a minimum of $10 to my fundraiser!

At $1,000 worth of WSU community donations, I will be giving away a $100 Cougar Country Drive In (pullman, washington) gift card to anyone who donated a minimum of $5 to my fundraiser!

I appreciate each and every one of you! If you would like to donate to my fundraiser which provides support for young adults during their battle with cancer, you can donate at the link below. Leave a “Go Cougs!” in the comment section of your donation so I know it came from the WSU community! Go Cougs!

What's your take on football games being scheduled so far in advance? I personally feel like games shouldn't be scheduled more than 3 or 4 years away. However, that 2023 match up with Wisconsin in Pullman already has me drooling... Go Cougs!

A ton of shuffling around for games happening a lot of years from now!

Klay Thompson is a special part of my childhood memories. I get super nostalgic just thinking about the days of Cougar basketball from 2006-2011. I was astounded at first by guys like Kyle Weaver, Derrick Low, and Robbie Cowgill. Then, the next few years by the likes of Aron Baynes, Taylor Rodchestie, Abe Lodwick, Marcus Capers, Reggie Moore, DeAngelo Casto, and Brock Motum. All of these guys were my boys, players I looked up to as a kid and teenager! But none of them compare to the man, the myth, the legend that is Klay Thompson.

I own exactly one NBA jersey. Can you guess whose it is? I think you can. There was no better feeling as a kid than heading out to Beasley on a Saturday night with the family, taking in the sights and sounds of the uninhibited student section, while Klay pulls up from 5 feet behind the 3 point line to nail the smoothest jumper I’ve ever seen.

Congratulations on having your number retired and raised to the rafters, Klay! You deserve it!

Now that the mushy expression of genuine emotion is out of the way, I have a challenge to issue! Klay Thompson, I challenge you to a game of one-on-one in the name of charity! This summer, my 4K for Cancer relay will finish in San Francisco. Even though I will have just finished running hundreds of miles over the span of 7 weeks, I think my legs will still be fresh enough to take you on!

Obviously, I don’t think Klay Thompson will see this. Well, not without your help! I need to get in contact with Klay Thompson and his people. If anyone knows how I can go about doing this, please send me a message to the inbox of this page! Thank you everyone and Go Cougs!

P.S. – I am still fundraising for my 4k for Cancer journey! If you feel like making a donation to help support young adults battling cancer, then please donate at this link: https://give.ulmanfoundation.org/4k-2020/BenWilson

Wow, you guys have blown me away with your generosity! In one day, Coug fans have donated $665 towards my fundraiser for the Ulman 4K for Cancer! That means that we surpassed two fundraising goals!

First, the $100 goal in which I will be making a tribute post to Klay Thompson while simultaneously challenging him to a game of one-on-one, which would be played when I finish the relay in San Francisco! Klay tribute post will be coming tomorrow!

Second, the $500 goal for bringing this page back from the abyss! I promise to be more active here and post at minimum once a week. I've missed all you crazy people!

Next up is the $1000 goal where I will be randomly giving away a $100 dollar Cougar Country Drive In (pullman, washington) gift card to anyone who donates $5 or more to my fundraiser!

Thank you all for your continued support! Cougs supporting Cougs is something that is a truly special phenomenon!

Hello everyone, my name is Ben Wilson and I am the creator of this page, WSU > UW. I was born and raised in Pullman and lived there from birth until I graduated high school. I started this page as a kid in middle school just fooling around on Facebook, not really thinking anything significant would result. I was wrong. WSU > UW went viral, amassing 3,000+ members only a week after conception. Once I realized that I had struck a nerve with the online WSU community, I set out to continue to grow this page and create quality content. I firmly believe that when I was operating this page at full potential, WSU > UW was the best WSU fan-operated page around. At our peak, we were 12,000+ Coug fans strong! Ah, the good ole days! After graduating high school, I moved up to Spokane and started my adult life. WSU > UW became much more difficult to run once I started transitioning to being a busy adult with many new tasks and responsibilities. Running this page plummeted to the bottom of my priority list and from there the page just kind of died out. I’m sorry. I hope you can find it within yourself to forgive me?

I am here today because I need your help! I have been a witness to the strength, power, and generosity of the WSU community for many years. I know that I can call on you, my brothers and sisters, and you won’t let me down!

This coming summer I am participating in something called the Ulman 4K for Cancer put on by the Ulman Foundation. For 7 weeks, me and a group of ~25 other young adults from around the country will be on a team. We will be running relay style from Baltimore, Maryland to San Francisco, California. Each person participating has to fundraise a minimum of $4500 dollars. The money goes to the Ulman Foundation, whose mission is to assist young adults battling cancer with their living expenses and provide places for them to stay.

Currently I have raised $1500 of my $4500 minimum. Together, I am hoping we can raise the other $3,000! How are we going to do that you ask? Well, I have incentives.

First off, I am opening the vault! A limited number of WSU > UW wristbands are still in my possession! For every $10 worth of donations, I will mail you a wristband! For example, if you donate $30, I will send you 3 WSU > UW wristbands! I have exactly 40 of these bad boys left! Get them while you can!

Secondly, here are other incentives I’ve come up with for fundraising milestone totals:

$100 – Make a late, but heartfelt, Klay Thompson appreciation post while simultaneously calling him out for a game of one-on-one to be played when I finish the relay in San Francisco

$500 – Bring back WSU > UW from the dead and post at minimum once a week

$1000 – Give away a $100 Cougar Country Drive In (pullman, washington) gift card to someone who donated any amount of money

$1500 – Only bring and wear WSU branded clothing for the entirety of the relay

$1600 – Challenge Gardner Minshew to run with me through Mississippi

$2000 – Give away another $100 Cougar Country gift card

$2500 – The WSU > UW community will have the power to brainstorm and vote for an activity for me to do (obviously within reason, but the possibilities are endless!)

$3000 – Get a WSU logo tattoo (would be my first tattoo ever)

Thank you all so much for the support over the years! Any and all donations are appreciated!
