Rainy day farm chores:
- cleaned out the run in shed and mats around the hay tire
- Diverted water and cleaned out mud for better drainage
- Fresh straw
- Fresh hay bale, grain and alfalfa fed

We don’t have our own dog but we sure love our sweet “adopted” dog! If you’re ever out to the farm, you’ll first be greeted by my in laws dog, Callie. She loves “helping” with chores and never misses a day. Going for a ride often includes Callie and it always feels weird when she’s off doing farm dog things with my father in law!

We finished riding lessons a couple weeks early this year as Roxie needed some extra rest due to some back issues she’s experiencing. Today, I had my students over to our house to learn how to clean tack and their boots! They both did fantastic and we had a great time. I loved the opportunity to share another aspect of horsemanship; taking care of your gear. 🥰
