Climb the queen stage of Le Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift with us! 🚴‍♀️

“Yesterday, Allison and I participated in L’Etappe for the Tour de France Femmes. We completed most of today’s stage that finishes at the Mount Ventoux summit. The organization of this event is brilliant - closed roads, feed stations, volunteers and cheering fans everywhere, and of course an iconic finishing medal when you cross the line at the top. We lined up with thousands of other cycling enthusiasts to share our passion for cycling and especially women’s racing. It was so cool to see so many women out there as well and to receive special recognition from cheering fans. I had an amazing time with this event and now Im excited to ride the Ventoux again but this time to spectate the epic women’s stage today. We will be cheering the women, especially our former Cynisca teammates. Im so honored and proud to be apart of these events that hope to bring more attention and support to women’s cycling.”

The results only tell part of the story.

In 2023, raced the Vuelta. In 2024, she lined up for many of the races she had dreamed about, set personal bests, and put together a season she was incredibly proud of.

But by the end of that season, everything unraveled.

Allison is open about how much the support and care around her mattered during that difficult period. Not only the opportunity to race, but the people who encouraged her, believed in her, and reminded her that her value extended beyond a result sheet.

That is why support in cycling matters.

The Cynisca Pathways Fund was created to help American women continue pursuing opportunities in professional cycling, while providing the resources and community needed to navigate both the highs and the difficult moments that come with the sport.

Because developing an athlete is about more than getting her to the start line. It is about supporting the whole person through everything that happens before, during, and after the race.

Natalie Quinn had a little tumble on today’s stage alongside world champion Noémi Rüegg and Demi Vollering at the base of the first climb.

The good news: Natalie is okay and will be back on the start line tomorrow. đź’›

The tough part? After the crash, she also flatted her front tire and wasn’t able to make it back to the front group.

You might be wondering, “Wait… I didn’t see that crash.”

Neither did we.

Unfortunately, the Le Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift broadcast doesn’t begin until later in each stage, meaning fans miss the opening kilometers where crashes, attacks, splits, and race-defining moments can happen.

The biggest race in women’s cycling starts today. 🚴‍♀️

Over the next nine days, 154 riders will race 1,175 kilometers from Lausanne, Switzerland, to Nice, France, taking on flat stages, mountain stages, an individual time trial and a summit finish on Mont Ventoux. Only five Americans are on the start line, including Cynisca Pathways Fund-supported rider Natalie Quinn.

Natalie’s teammate and fellow Pathways Fund recipient, Allison Mrugal, was also selected as an official alternate, prepared and ready to step in if called.

Reaching the Tour takes extraordinary talent, determination and years of work. But talent alone is not enough.

The Cynisca Pathways Fund helps American riders access the financial and professional support needed to continue developing at the highest level, including team placement, contract guidance, mentorship and direct support for salaries, team expenses and logistics.
