Coach Rees began his softball experience on the baseball diamond as a four-year starter for Sierra High School in Colorado Springs. He went on to play both years at Otero Junior College. In the mid-90s, he moved to men’s fastpitch where he played for the La Junta Hurricanes.

For the past seven years, he has coached 14, 16 & 18A club teams for both the Pueblo Shockers and Evolution Athletics.

Coach Herrera brings 35 years of fastpitch playing experience to SoCo Elite Fastpitch, and 16 years of coaching for clubs such as the Pueblo Shockers and Evolution Athletics.

He is currently in his eighth year as assistant coach at Pueblo Central High School in Pueblo, Colorado, during which time the Wildcats have earned seven state championship berths.
