Pueblo Azteca 18U Walk-Off In Nail-Biter Against Cheyenne Post 6 Sixers

Pueblo Azteca 18U took Sunday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 2-1 walk-off victory over Cheyenne Post 6 Sixers at Hobbs. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the seventh when Joseph Mendoza singled, scoring one run.
Both teams were strong on the hill. Pueblo Azteca 18U pitchers struck out eight, while Cheyenne Post 6 Sixers sat down 10.
Pueblo Azteca 18U opened the scoring in the fourth after MJ Molina doubled, scoring one run.
Kayden Tafoya singled down the left field line, which helped Cheyenne Post 6 Sixers tie the game at one in the top of the sixth.
Molina earned the win for Pueblo Azteca 18U. The hurler gave up zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking none. Braden Pearson took the loss for Cheyenne Post 6 Sixers. The pitcher went six innings, giving up two runs on six hits, striking out nine and walking none. Blake Swift began the game for Pueblo Azteca 18U. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and one run over six innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Molina and Caeden Herrera were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Pueblo Azteca 18U. Mendoza and Molina each drove in one run for Pueblo Azteca 18U. Pueblo Azteca 18U turned one double play in the game.
Tafoya went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Quentin King went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Cheyenne Post 6 Sixers in hits. Cheyenne Post 6 Sixers turned one double play in the game.
Pueblo Azteca 18U play at home on Thursday against Ark Valley Elks in their next game.
