This giant had experience but 40 years, not so much. Good thing I only toyed with him!! 6’2” vs 5’8.” 250lb vs 215lb. I was out sized but not out experienced. Kids, size will never matter, trust Sensei! See how I leave that front arm down and lean over like an old man? Giving you a target?.. That’s called “baiting.” Cross the line at your own risk.

Where white represents the starting level, Black represents the true expert having highest rank. Yellow, orange, red, green, blue are some other colors of belt. During the time of Second World War, only darker shades of colors were used to signify the move ahead agenda in karate.

Meet Ella Allen. She is a student at Pryor Elementary. She came to us from our after school club and never looked back! She is a leader and dedicated practitioner. Tonight she was promoted to white belt with 2 stripes and has made it farther than any student this last year. The first three promotions are the hardest and this is her second! She’s killing it! Her favorite part about karate is the passion, confidence and sense of teamwork she has found in her practice. She said the most valuable lesson she has learned so far is “discipline.” She’s an amazing and tough young lady that we are honored to promote and have on the team! She earned her stripes and earned them well! Be like Ella!! Bonsai!!
